This week was hectic and tiring. However it was enjoyable too!
The reason: bAoc 2006
bAoc 2006, it refers to: School of Business & Accountancy Orientation Convention 2006.
Orientation last for four days! The theme was CHARNIVAL X'TRAVAGANZA.

Day one: boring!
Hahaha...I guess it was due to the fact that they were introducing us to our course and informing us of the rules and regulations in this school. Life in poly is similar as life in JC. We go for tutorials and lectures. In secondary school/ junior collages, we have form teachers/ home tutors. Same goes for poly, instead they are called advisors. Since technology is so advance, all our assignments, lectures notes, test/exams dates blah blah blah…will be posted online. So we have go to our NP account regularly to check out for the latest news. Truthful I am not used to this system! In the past, our teachers will inform and pass us one set of notes and then all we need to do is just go to the photocopying shop to make a copy. Now, the teachers won’t inform us, and it is our responsibility to go online to check it out. Well I guess since we are old enough we need to be more responsible and more independent! Oh. They are very strict about punctuality too… for example if we are late for 15 mins we will be marked as absence. For edith course, they will be marked as absence and they need to pay a fine [can't remember how much]. Dress code is another thing. For the school of bA, students are required to wear long pants/ skirt which is not too short, a shirt that don’t show too much flesh and covered shoes. The last thing I remember from that talk was that if our attendance is not more then 80% we can't sit for exams…. Edith if you can remember anything else, you can add on...
I must say, day one in NP wasn't as bad as day on in cj! Hahaha...first of all, we all just click! We were talking to each other as if we have known each other before. Unlike in cj, which I still remember, we were are stoning and you can see each other discomfort! Surprisingly we only played one ice breaker game, to help us remember each other names...(:

Day two: SPORTS DAY! Fun fun fun...
Well it was not really sports day, it was just going to different stations to complete it as a group. There were a total of seven stations (I think, I am currently suffering from short term memory)
The first station: we were given a blank piece of paper, we need to draw something that represent our house, which was BOMBASTIC MOMBASA.
Second station: a two hours talk on CCAs. It took one hour to get everything to settle. While waiting we were exchanging lame jokes. Some of them are seriously damn lame and funny, I couldn't stop laughing! ((: The CCA talk was okay, a little boring. I wasn't paying much attention thou caused I was starving![X
The third station: food connectors!
Example: fried bee hoon -> (we need a food that starts with the last letter, N)…blah blah blah… so we have to connect everything, and then we need to get a food item which we listed and it must cost less then $1.00, to complete this station and to have our lunch! Food is not bad and It is also relativity cheap! Moving on...
The fourth station: hmm...can't remember much, but it was something like twister.
The fifth station: life minesweeper! All we need to do is to cross from one end to the other. The catch, you don't know where are all the bombs are, if you happened to step on a bomb, they will spray water on you! I was unlucky, and I got wet! [X
The sixth station: in our og gp we need to split ourselves to gps of three. One will be blindfolded, the other will guide you and the last will be the supporter. The blindfolded person will carry a cup full of water! Heeheehaahaa. I was kena blindfolded! But sad to say I cheated, caused even though I was blindfolded I could see where I was going!
The seventh station: this game is played between two different groups. Both groups members are blindfolded and mixed around. The group that find all their members first wins! Haha, we won! ((:
While moving around the different stations, our group came up with many new cheers, and we were all shouting till all our voices gone a little hoarse! [X

Day three: FINALE!
I thought it would be good, but it turn out to be a little boring. Certain items were good, however others were not so interesting! So we end up taking pictures during the finale…well I have nothing much to say for finale…edith would you like to add on?

Day four: CCA fiesta.
We went round the school to look at different ccas booths. In the end I only sign up for fencing. I wanted to sign up for other ccas, but I can't seem to find the booth. I must be either be very blind or the booth was not there(which is highly impossible).
Later in the afternoon we had telematch. I was one of the participants -____________-'''
At the end of the day, the school of bA won the best school! YAY! We really deserve it , caused we were cheering non-stop, and we were one of the more enthu schools. (:

Quite sad that orientation had to end. Most of us won't be in the same class, but glad that we have the same lectures! ((: at least we can sit together during lectures!
Pardon for my language, I am half awake when I blog this entry! [X
Hope all of you have a great week ahead!
Fel.

Ps: BOMBASTIC MOMBASA 2 ROCKS! So is.. GLORIOUS RENAISSANCE!
